It's a Katana 440 stainless steel as good as a hand like katana?

I have a 440 stainless steel katana $ 500, but I'm not sure if it's as sharp and hard as a katana that has been hand beaten. I also just bought the shingami suit for $ 96 and I am curious if thats a lot considering I bought it in the center commercial and so didn't have to pay shipping. Thoughts? So now, in fairness, I've been doing a lot of tameshigiri and hasn't not cut anything.

A 440 stainless steel Katana never going to beat a traditional Katana did ... bent, punched out, folded, pounded out infinatum ad. The Katana is a real masterpiece art. I had the great pleasure to drive one. In fact harm back to its owner. I think $ 500 would be too much for the 440 stainless steel Katana. If I had to buy a new Katana would be very careful buying.
